Our Staff

Born and raised in Cottonwood, Maria has always had a special place in her heart for animals. She happily shares her home with six wonderful cats and a beautiful longhaired Dachshund named Ryder. Maria has been a part of the Sedona Animal Clinic team since 2008 as a receptionist, and never forgets a furry face! When not in her office scrubs, Maria enjoys watching movies, snuggling up with a good book, going for a run, hunting for antiques, and most importantly, spending time with her “fur babies.”

Christi, a certified Veterinary Assistant, gained her love of animals helping her family take care of the neighborhood stray cats and dogs and orphaned or displaced wildlife while growing up in Colorado, where along with the usual cats and dogs, she cared for everything from salamanders and tarantulas to squirrels and raccoons.

She earned an Associates of Science with concentration in Biology from Front Range Community College in 2009 (with honors as Phi Theta Kappa) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology: Concentration in Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Minor in Biomedical Science from Colorado State University in 2013.

Christi moved to the Verde Valley in June of 2015 to be closer to family, and has worked at Sedona Animal Clinic as a technician ever since. She still plans to pursue veterinary school in the future, with a keen interest in wildlife medicine.

Mel is a fantastic assistant and one of the newest members of the team. She has worked with rescues and animal sanctuaries for years.

Char is a part time assistant who helps keep the clinic running. Her positive personality and organizational skills are priceless!
